I'm sure this is noob stuff, but can someone write up a small little thing about targeting, healing, labeling mobs while grouping or raiding. I ran into a situation the other day in a group where I was labeled the main assist. for the life of me i could not remember my responsibilities. luckily the group was just for a small mob, but i'd rather not come into that position unaware again if i can help it.

Been a while, but main assist means everyone will assist you, so the group is trusting you to be targeting the current kill target, not any of the ones either being mezzed or off-tanked.
Things are quite different for raiding than for grouping, since there can be quite a few tanks, at least a primary and secondary and sometimes a tertiary on kill targets, then possibly others for off-tanking. Healing, at least back then, was always on a CH rotation, so you'd have 3-4 clerics casting Complete Heal on a timer to help spread out aggro. Main assist is always the guy you want to set up a /assist macro for, since they should be on the main kill target. However, for raids, things can change quickly, so keeping up with raid chat/channel is always imperative as well for any change in targeting or additional instruction.
